Petitioning the White House

Perspective

Featured in Answers Magazine

Tens of thousands of people added their names to a petition on the White House website urging President Obama to ban creation and intelligent design from America’s schools. Of course, the overwhelming majority of science teachers already present evolution as fact, and the president has no authority to issue directives about science curricula.

This frivolous petition is just another example of the intolerance spawned by the atheistic worldview. It seems that evolution provides a pseudoscientific cover for living as people wish, considering themselves unaccountable to God and His absolute standards. Perhaps that helps explain the intensity of their opposition.
