Dr. Tim Chaffey

Content Manager of Attractions Design, Author, Speaker

Dr. Tim Chaffey is the content manager of the Attractions Division of Answers in Genesis. He is responsible for overseeing the development of content for the exhibits at the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. He also writes articles for the Answers in Genesis website and Answers magazine. Tim can often be found giving presentations at the Ark Encounter or Creation Museum. He is also a regular cohost on Answers News as well as a producer and cohost of the award-winning movie analysis show, Tilt Shift, on Answers TV.

Tim earned a BS in biblical studies and theology (2002), an MA in biblical and theological studies (2005), an MDiv with an emphasis in apologetics and theology (2008), and a ThM in church history and theology (2011). Most recently, he earned his doctor of ministry, specializing in advanced biblical and theological studies from Shepherds Theological Seminary (2023).

Dr. Chaffey is the author or coauthor of more than two dozen books, both fiction and nonfiction. His nonfiction titles deal primarily with theology and apologetics, such as his work on Christ’s resurrection titled In Defense of Easter. Tim’s novels also emphasize teaching the biblical worldview and defending God’s Word. For example, The Truth Chronicles is an engaging time travel adventure with creation apologetics woven throughout, while The Remnant Trilogy is a historical fiction series that highlights the reality of Noah, the ark, and the flood.

Dr. Chaffey and his wife, Casey, have been married since 1996 and have been blessed with two children, Kayla and Judah. In their spare time, the Chaffeys enjoy traveling and hiking in God’s creation and consider the Redwoods, Yosemite, Israel, and Australia among their favorite places to explore. Tim played college basketball and now competes in endurance events, such as triathlons and half-marathons. In 2006, he was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia and has been cancer-free since September of that year.
