Schelly Corry

Schelly is a nonprofit development strategist and museum design consultant whose work bridges immersive education, community engagement, and operations planning expertise. With a strong background in nature, science education, exhibits, and fundraising, Schelly loves team building and problem-solving aspects of her work.

Schelly has been commissioned to guide building planning, interpretive exhibits, and outdoor classrooms. She has developed trail systems, educational programs, and mission-driven learning environments that connect people, especially children, to the natural world and scientific understanding.

Schelly brings a unique blend of vision and practicality to every project. During her career in museum planning and leadership, she has carved out thoughtful, mission-inspired paths for her teams to follow successfully.

As a woman navigating a traditionally male-dominated field, Schelly has quietly reshaped expectations, bringing empathy, innovation, and a deep understanding of audience needs to the forefront of design conversations. She’s known for translating complex concepts into tactile, engaging experiences, particularly for young people. She is passionate about creating visitor experiences that foster curiosity, exploration, and connection.

Her work continues to inspire new models for how museums and nature centers serve their communities.

• She holds a BAS in biology and education from Dallas Baptist University, where she completed her senior research in Bangladesh, working directly with rice farming communities to help improve their crop yields and agricultural systems.
• She completed her graduate certificate in free-choice learning (museum studies) at Oregon State University.
• She is a certified Montessori teacher with credentials in both early childhood education and elementary education through grade 3.
