Brian Burchfield is a singer, songwriter, and evangelist formerly with the Melody Trio and Divine Purpose from Surgoinsville, Tennessee. He has been involved in southern gospel music all of his life. He got saved when he was nine years old while singing with his family, the Caltons. He began writing songs at 12 years old and has had eight number one songs in gospel music.
Brian graduated in the top 25 at Volunteer Comprehensive High School and graduated valedictorian at the University of Tennessee, Walter's State Community College, and Draughon’s Junior College. He won the Summer Youth Worker of the Year award for Hawkins County, Tennessee. He was voted Favorite Soloist for the Foothills Gospel Music Association and the Lighthouse Gospel Music Association. He sang at the White House in Washington, DC for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. Brian is a member of the Southern Gospel Music Association and has performed at the National Quartet Convention, TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), the Grand Ole Opry, the Tennessee State Capitol, Gospel Music Fan Fair, the Atlanta Olympics for the Australian rowing team, as well as in foreign countries and numerous churches across the nation. Brian ministers to the list and encourages the Christians in every service.
