“I Can’t Even Explain to You What It Did for Me to Find Out the Truth”

About a year ago or so, I had some questions about creation and went searching . . . . I was raised in church but unfortunately my church never really mentioned anything about creation. Well, that's not entirely true. They of course mentioned it, but they never taught on it at all, or how to defend it and the importance of it. They never showed how wrong evolution is, or even spoke on it that I knew of. And with growing up in public school, I was taught evolution as FACT. In college also. I double majored in Math and Statistics and had a lot of science and biology and chemistry and physics thrown in there and never once taught anything other than evolution as a fact. Not that there was even a choice on the matter. So, because I was a born again Christian and believed that God created, and I also thought that evolution was a fact, I just put the two together. I honestly didn't know any other way. I didn't think about it to much, so I kinda believed in gap theory or theistic evolution. I didn't know the names of it then of course. That was just what I had put together in my mind. Then one day, a question came up about it on a mother's group elist that I was on. It was a secular list and only 2 of us were born again Christians. (I'm trying to make a very long story short, I really am). They were talking about dinosaurs and millions of years. The other lady that was a Christian mentioned that she didn't know how it worked, and didn't have the answers and didn't know where to find the answers and how to put it together, but that she knew that the earth was only about 6,000 years old. WOW! That was a shocker to me. I had NEVER heard of such a thing. But it peaked my interest to say the least. Then I was on a quest to "find out". In my search, I came across the "Answers In Genesis" website and just became engrossed. It was so wonderful to find out the truth. I can't even explain to you what it did for me to find out the truth. It made my faith so much deeper and so strong and so real. I had been praying for more faith (from Mark 9:24) and God showed me your website. Knowing the absolute truth, as you provide on this website, is the "cure-all" pill for lack of faith. Ever since then, my passion has been on creation, and the Bible's absolute truth. I teach Sunday School to 13-18 year olds (only recently, just over a year now) and becasue of my experience growing up the way I did, I felt it very important to equip my Sunday School class with the truth. Right now, I'm showing the “Answers with Ken Ham” video series to my class. I'm on # 11 with them. Before I started the video series with them, I taught about a month worth of Sundays on Creation, with different materials I found on your site. Thank you soooooo much for this ministry! It has certainly changed my life and my relationship with God and my witnessing. Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!
