Around the world, the rocks cry out that the earth is young. Pam Elder knows this truth well.
She lives in Montana where the mountains abound with shale (mudstone) that contains fossilized ripple marks— evidence consistent with layers having been laid down during the global Flood of Noah’s day.
Recently, Pam had the opportunity to share the truths about Noah’s Flood with someone on the other side of the world. After reading an article about an Israeli man who requested people send in “memorial” stones for his murdered son’s grave (it’s an old Jewish custom to lay a stone at a gravesite when visiting), she mailed him a piece of shale with fossilized ripple marks. She also included a note that explained the global Flood, with a short description written in Hebrew on the rock. Pam’s rock and note, along with others from around the world, were posted on a website that memorialized his 17-year-old son whose life was cut short by a suicide bomber.
Pam recently has had more opportunities to share the truths of creation with other Jewish people. One way is giving feedback from a creationist’s perspective on online forums of Jewish newspapers. While she says many Christians share their faith in this manner, few have taken advantage of the opportunity to present truths found in Genesis.
