Is the Bible racist? And are science and Christianity really at odds?

Please keep your ministry out of Africa. This land needs scientist not racist teachings. Evolution will help solve AIDS, FAMINE and other illnesses. Religion helps stop men from becoming murders and does not create scientist. The bible is for your soul not your science.

Please keep your ministry out of Africa.

Jesus commanded in the Bible:

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20)

As Christians, we are bound by Christ, our Lord, and He commanded that we go to every nation. Who are we to say that Jesus, who is God, is wrong and that we shouldn’t minister in Africa?

I just got finished viewing the “Creation Museum: The Full Virtual Tour” that I received with my 5-year membership. It’s awesome!! Now, more than ever, I can’t wait to bring my family in 2007. I am hoping to organize a large group of families from the homeschool group in Colorado I lead (over 90 families) to come and share the experience. Can’t wait!

You may believe that those living in Africa don’t need Jesus Christ and His salvation from eternal damnation, but they do need Him, as does all of mankind! We are not “stingy” in trying to keep salvation, which has been made known, to ourselves but want to share this good news of how to be saved.

Our ministry teaches people the bad news in Genesis so they will better understand the good news of Jesus Christ.

This land needs scientist not racist teachings.

We are opposed to racism and racist teachings. This should be apparent from our articles that we are all one biological race—descendants of Adam and Eve. However, evolutionary teachings imply that there are several races, some inferior to others. Even Darwin discussed the elimination of what he called “savage races”:

At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate and replace the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes … will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the negro or Australian [aborigine] and the gorilla.
— Charles Darwin, The Descent of Man, 2nd ed., New York, A.L. Burt, p. 178, 1874.

Evolution will help solve AIDS, FAMINE and other illnesses.

How? Evolution teaches that random chance without intelligence will eliminate the weak and the rest will build up new information to solve these types of problems. In other words, an evolutionist can, by their own philosophy, say “who cares about those in Africa?” because they want people with problems to die off.

As Christians, we have a basis for caring in the Bible. We want to see people saved and we want to see problems solved, whether providing food, as some Christian ministries do in Africa, such as Manna Worldwide, or helping with the AIDS problem, such as Botswana Christian AIDS Intervention Programme, etc.

Our ministry is a complement to many of these other ministries. We teach people why there are things like death, suffering, AIDS and famine in the land. It is because of sin back in Genesis 3. Please see: Why Does God’s Creation Include Death and Suffering?

We also want to teach them that Jesus Christ can save them from the second death, and that they can live eternally in a perfect world again—without death and suffering. If one truly cared for the people of Africa, they would want them to have eternal life. Why would someone want people to live happily in this imperfect world and yet forfeit their own soul for eternity? It doesn’t make sense. Jesus said:

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? (Mark 8:36)

Religion helps stop men from becoming murders

Some religions do, not all of them. The Bible makes it clear that it is sinful to murder.

and does not create scientist.

Strange that you would say this since most fields of science were developed by Bible-believing Christians.

The bible is for your soul not your science.

By stating this, you are making the assumption that an all-knowing God doesn’t know about the laws of science that He created. That is illogical. God cannot be wrong when He speaks on science.

This is not to say that the Bible is a science textbook. I’m glad it isn’t, because science textbooks change every year. Yet it gives us a framework from which to develop and use science.

As Christians, we want to use science to help people, like our friend Dr. Damadian who invented the MRI. And we can use science to confirm that God’s Word is indeed accurate when it speaks about the world. And since it is accurate when it speaks about science, then it is accurate when it speaks about Christ and salvation. It would be selfish to keep this message of salvation from those who are suffering in Africa.

Kind regards in Christ,
