Comments we received from a recent Creation Museum visitor really sum up the importance of taking God at His Word in Genesis:
We have told others about our visit and the conviction [that] the visit and our conversation have given me to accept and boldly affirm my belief in the whole Bible, creation included, as it is written. A day is a day, as defined by God in the very beginning!
In fact, I was sharing with a friend and 2 of his kids today. . . . Both kids are attending Christian colleges . . . he asked twice if it could be a million years somehow —I said no —a day is a day.
Then his [relative] who is attending Moody [Bible Institute] and . . . had heard about Dr. Litfin’s comments [see previous blogs] . . . . She was somewhat surprised at the comments and wide range of his interpretation of this issue. We talked about how a little doubt can erode the whole foundation of our faith, as we believe in the whole Bible—not just the convenient parts.
Word of LifeDr. Terry Mortenson is currently at Word of Life Bible Institute in New York where he will teach a 10-lecture course on creation. This is the fourth time he has taught the course there (an AiG speaker has given such lectures now for many years). There will be about 300 students. Pray that they would really grasp the foundational importance of Genesis. This is a great opportunity to impact future leaders in the church.
Over 680,000Museum attendance since opening (May 2007) is now over 680,000. I am still expecting to reach the 700,000 mark by the end of this month or early next month. Praise the Lord for the people who keep streaming into the Creation Museum each day.
Bible understandingThanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
(Mark 4:24) And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Bible understanding acted upon brings greater Bible understanding, but, Bible understanding not responded to results in a loss of Bible understanding.
