Comments we received from a recent Creation Museum visitor really sum up the importance of taking God at His Word in Genesis:
We have told others about our visit and the conviction [that] the visit and our conversation have given me to accept and boldly affirm my belief in the whole Bible, creation included, as it is written. A day is a day, as defined by God in the very beginning! In fact, I was sharing with a friend and 2 of his kids today. . . . Both kids are attending Christian colleges . . . he asked twice if it could be a million years somehow —I said no —a day is a day.
Then his [relative] who is attending Moody [Bible Institute] and . . . had heard about Dr. Litfin’s comments [see previous blogs] . . . . She was somewhat surprised at the comments and wide range of his interpretation of this issue. We talked about how a little doubt can erode the whole foundation of our faith, as we believe in the whole Bible—not just the convenient parts.
Bible understandingThanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,(Mark 4:24) And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Bible understanding acted upon brings greater Bible understanding, but, Bible understanding not responded to results in a loss of Bible understanding.
