Billboards to Challenge the Nation

Atheists have been very active across the nation sponsoring billboards (including in our area) in an attempt to indoctrinate people to reject belief in God. These people are a small fraction of the population, but they are having some influence.

Christians need to be aggressive in standing up for God’s Word—and be much more aggressive in proclaiming God’s Word to the culture. Too many people in the church have tried to fight the social issues with man’s reasoning/arguments (e.g., insisting on what they call “conservative values” or saying we need to get back to “tradition”). We need to fight these issues with God’s Word, the absolute authority.

As part of AiG’s  “I am not ashamed” campaign (see our first article)—where we will be ramping up our challenge for Christians to boldly and unashamedly proclaim God’s Word and challenge the nation—we have produced a number of billboards. We have only just mentioned these and already there are many people/churches who will be sponsoring these billboards in their area.

The emphasis of this campaign is to let the Bible speak for itself. After all, it is God’s Word that will not return unto Him void (Isaiah 55:11), and it is God’s Word that is sharper than a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). God’s Word convicts.

We believe there is no better way to confront the social issues of our day than by challenging the culture with God’s very Word. The following are billboards dealing with the state of the nation, the abortion issue, the creation vs evolution controversy, racism, and “gay” marriage:

The Lord brings back the captivity of His people

(Psa 14:7) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

We yearn for the Jews to become “soul winners” for the Lord Jesus Christ, but they cannot till they are delivered from Satan’s captivity, so we pray for them.
