Presented with a Hand-Carved Walking Stick!

Well, this is a first! AiG speaker Dr. Tommy Mitchell was presented with a surprise (but special) gift while speaking in London, Kentucky, this past week. He was speaking at the “Calling America Back to God” conference. It was the second year he has had the privilege of speaking at this event. Under the leadership of Pastor Jim Blaylock and Brother Joe Mobley, this conference—about a two-and-a-half hour drive south of AiG/the Creation Museum—has grown steadily over the past few years.

In his first session Dr. Mitchell spoke on the topic of how a loving God could allow death and suffering. Several of the pastors at the conference told Dr. Mitchell that they felt like, after his teaching, they would be better able to deal with this question in the future. In his second session, Dr. Mitchell presented “Are You Intimidated?” which refutes the idea that scientific facts contradict the Bible. During a break between sessions, one of the speakers commented to Dr. Mitchell’s wife that he had never heard a more clear discussion of science and the Bible.

Before Dr. Mitchell’s first session, he was presented with a special gift. Brother Joe Mobley, who has a great heart for missions in Haiti, presented to Dr. Mitchell a hand-carved walking stick. This was sent as a gift from an elderly Christian man in Haiti who is known as “Woodchip.” Woodchip was led to the Lord by Brother Joe several years ago, and he wanted to do something special for the men and women speaking at this meeting. He made a walking stick for each speaker and sent each one with a note. The note said that he wanted this gift to remind each of those speaking at the conference that they were “teaching others to walk with the Lord.”

INDIA SCHEDULE

Dr. David Crandall—head of AiG Worldwide—and I will be speaking in India this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have included our schedule (as of today) below. Hundreds of pastors/Christian leaders will be attending a special conference where I will be videoed for translation purposes, and I will also be speaking in a large church (or maybe two) on Sunday.

Please be much in prayer for these coming meetings. We will be traveling to India this week but will only be there for a few days—not long enough to get de-jet-lagged! Pray that all the videoing goes well and our health holds up so we can do the best we can to enable the vital creation/gospel message to reach the people of India.

Either

(Joshua 24:15) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

The longer we walk with God the clearer we see life’s choice of either God or Satan, either heaven or hell, either life or death, either the Lord Jesus Christ or not.
