Steve A. Austin

Dr. Steven Austin earned a Ph.D. in geology from Pennsylvania State University. As a full-time scientist with the Institute for Creation Research, he participated in professional, peer-reviewed studies at Mount St. Helens and the Grand Canyon. His research has been published in the prestigious International Geology Review. Dr. Austin is now conducting additional studies in the Grand Canyon, and researching the earthquake destruction of archaeological sites in Jordan.

David A. DeWitt

Dr. David DeWitt earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a professor of biology and director of the Center for Creation Studies at Liberty University (Lynchburg, Virginia). Dr. DeWitt’s research has focused on Alzheimer’s disease, and he has written a number of articles for peer-reviewed journals such as Brain Research and Experimental Neurology.

Don B. DeYoung

Dr. Don DeYoung is chairman of the department of physical science at Grace College, Indiana. He also serves on the faculty of the Institute for Creation Research, Dallas. His writings have appeared in The Journal of Chemical Physics, The Creation Research Society Quarterly, and elsewhere. Dr. DeYoung has also written numerous books on Bible-science topics, including object lessons for children.

Cecil Eggert

Cecil Eggert serves as advancement officer at Answers in Genesis. He has a B.S. degree from Hyles-Anderson College and is currently completing his M.S. in biblical counseling from Trinity College of the Bible and Seminary. Cecil served as an associate pastor for 29 years, culminating as pastor of outreach at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky, before joining the staff of Answers in Genesis.

Danny Faulkner

Dr. Danny Faulkner has a B.S. (math), M.S. (physics), M.A. and Ph.D. (astronomy, Indiana University). He is a full professor at the University of South Carolina–Lancaster, where he teaches physics and astronomy. Danny has written numerous articles in astronomical journals and is the author of Universe by Design.

Joe Francis

Dr. Joe Francis, professor of biological sciences at Master’s College, earned his Ph.D. from Wayne State University and was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School. He serves as a board member of the Creation Biology Study Group.

Ken Ham

CEO/president of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham is one of the most in-demand Christian speakers in North America. A native Australian now residing near Cincinnati, Ham has the unique ability to communicate deep biblical truths and historical facts through apologetics. He is the author of numerous books on evangelism, dinosaurs, and the negative fruits of evolutionary thinking, including The Lie: Evolution and Already Gone.

Bodie Hodge

Bodie attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and received a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering. His specialty was a subset of mechanical engineering based in advanced materials processing, particularly starting powders. Currently, Bodie is a speaker, writer, and researcher for Answers in Genesis–USA.

Jean K. Lightner

Dr. Jean Lightner earned her undergraduate degree in animal science. After earning a M.S. and D.V.M., she worked for three years as a veterinary medical officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. From here, she resigned to stay at home to raise and teach her four children. She has contributed both technical articles and laymen articles to several creationists’ magazines, journals, and websites.

Jason Lisle

Dr. Lisle received his Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He specializes in solar astrophysics and has interests in the physics of relativity and biblical models of cosmology. Dr. Lisle has published a number of books, including Taking Back Astronomy and The Ultimate Proof of Creation, plus articles in both secular and creationist literature. He is a speaker, researcher, and writer for Answers in Genesis–USA.

Tim Lovett

Tim Lovett earned his degree in mechanical engineering from Sydney University (Australia) and was an instructor for 12 years in technical college engineering courses. Tim has studied the Flood and the ark for 15 years and is widely recognized for his cutting-edge research on the design and structure of Noah’s ark. He is author of the book Noah’s Ark: Thinking Outside the Box.

David N. Menton

Now retired, Dr. David Menton served as a biomedical research technician at Mayo Clinic and then as an associate professor of anatomy at Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis) for more than 30 years. He was a consulting editor in histology for five editions of Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, and has received numerous awards for his teaching. Dr. Menton has a Ph.D. in cell biology from Brown University and is currently a speaker, researcher, and writer for Answers in Genesis–USA.

Elizabeth Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell earned her M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and practiced medicine for seven years until she retired to be a stay-at-home mom. Her interests in ancient history strengthened when she began to homeschool her daughters. She desires to make history come alive and to correlate it with biblical history.

Tommy Mitchell

Dr. Tommy Mitchell is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He received his M.D. in 1984 and completed his residency in internal medicine in 1987. For 20 years Tommy practiced medicine in his hometown of Gallatin, Tennessee. In 1991, he was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Mitchell has been active in creation ministry for many years. He felt the Lord’s call to full time service, and in 2007 he withdrew from the active practice.

John D. Morris

Dr. John Morris is president of the Institute for Creation Research in Dallas, Texas. The author of numerous books on creation, including The Young Earth, Dr. Morris has led several expeditions to Mt. Ararat in search of Noah’s ark. A frequent conference speaker, Dr. Morris also hosts the daily radio program Back to Genesis.

Terry Mortenson

Dr. Terry Mortenson earned a Ph.D. in the history of geology from Coventry University in England. His thesis focused on the “scriptural geologists,” a group of men in the early 19th century who fought the rise of old-earth geological theories. A former missionary (mostly in Eastern Europe), Dr. Mortenson has researched and spoken on creation and evolution for many years. He is now a speaker, writer, and researcher with Answers in Genesis–USA.

Michael Oard

Now retired after 36 years in the U.S. National Weather Service and in research meteorology, Mike Oard holds a master’s degree in atmospheric science and has published research articles in journals of the American Meteorological Association and elsewhere. An active creationist, Oard has also published articles in various creationist periodicals and in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Creationism. He serves on the board of the Creation Research Society.

Roger Patterson

Roger Patterson earned his B.S. Ed. degree in biology from Montana State University. Before coming to work at Answers in Genesis, he taught for eight years in Wyoming’s public school system and assisted the Wyoming Department of Education in developing assessments and standards for children in public schools. Roger now serves on the Educational Resources team at Answers in Genesis–USA.

Georgia Purdom

Dr. Purdom received her Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Ohio State University. Her professional accomplishments include winning a variety of honors, serving as professor of biology at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University (Ohio), and the publication of papers in the Journal of Neuroscience, the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, and the Journal of Leukocyte Biology. Dr. Purdom is also a member of the Creation Research Society, American Society for Microbiology, and American Society for Cell Biology.

Mike Riddle

Mike holds a degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in education. He has been involved in creation ministry for more than 25 years. Prior to getting involved in creation ministry, Mike was a captain in the U.S. Marines and a national champion in track and field. Mike also spent over 20 years in the computer field where he managed U.S. Sprint’s worldwide technical training and Microsoft’s worldwide engineer training. Currently, Mike is a speaker, writer, and researcher for Answers in Genesis–USA.

Andrew A. Snelling

Dr. Andrew A. Snelling received his Ph.D. (geology) from the University of Sydney (Australia). After research experience in the mineral exploration industry, he was founding editor of the Creation Ex Nihilo Technical Journal (Australia). He also served as a professor of geology at the Institute for Creation Research. In 2007 he joined Answers in Genesis–USA as director of research. A member of several professional geological societies, Dr. Snelling has written numerous technical papers in geological journals, and creationist publications.

Paul F. Taylor

Paul F. Taylor is the senior speaker for Answers in Genesis (UK/Europe). He holds a B.S. in chemistry from Nottingham University and a masters in science education from Cardiff University. He is the author of several books, including Cain and Abel, In the Beginning, and The Six Days of Genesis. Paul and his wife, Geri, have five children between them.

Tom Vail

Tom Vail has been a professional guide in the Grand Canyon since 1980. He and his wife, Paula, started Canyon Ministries in 1997 to offer Christ-centered rafting tours through the Grand Canyon. Tom is author and compiler of Grand Canyon: A Different View. He is also co-author of the True North Series providing biblically based guide books on our national parks, including Your Guide to the Grand Canyon and Your Guide to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.

John Woodmorappe

John Woodmorappe has been a researcher in the areas of biology, geology, and paleontology for over 20 years. He has a B.A. in biology, a B.A. in geology, and an M.A. in geology. John has also been a public school science teacher. He is the author of many peer-reviewed technical articles in creationist literature.
