The Creator God is unlike any other being, and we know that by the things He does. No other is like Him, and all of His creation cries out His name.
Views like this from the edge of Bryce Canyon in
Utah evoke feelings of grandeur and majesty in all
spectators, even if they do not know God. “Wow!”
spontaneously slips from their lips, as they are stirred
to awe and wonder. But Christians, who have been
brought into a personal relationship with our Creator
God, should do much more than just admire God’s
handiwork as an end in itself. He made all of creation,
even landscapes that resulted from the Flood, to
glorify Himself. We who know and love the Lord
should not just say “Wow!” but should “
ascribe to the
Lord the glory due his name, [and] worship the Lord
in the splendor of his holiness” (Psalm 29:2 (ESV)).
“I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things”(Isaiah 45:5–7).

Flamingos mate when it’s raining. Scientists believe waiting for the rain increases the food supply and provides the parents with enough materials to make a nest. Their Creator placed within these creatures the information needed to thrive in a world cursed by sin (Genesis 3). (photo by Bob Jensen)
After months of cold weather and short days, buds on trees burst open to greet the coming spring. A bit of color painted on a dull canvas foretells the coming of new life and warmer weather.(photo by Mary Murphy)
