The Age of the Earth—Why Does it Matter? - 49 minutes This talk looks at five reasons for believing that the age of the earth is vitally important to the church. It is not a side issue, over which Christians can just “agree to disagree.” Accepting billions of years (or evolution) greatly weakens the church and her proclamation of the Gospel.
Millions of Years—Where Did the Idea Come From? - 60 minutes Based on Dr. Mortenson’s groundbreaking Ph.D. research, this talk shows that old-earth geologists of the early 1800s were not swayed by rocks and fossils, but by their own anti-biblical worldviews imposed on the evidence.
The Origin of Species—Was Darwin Right? - 44 minutes This talk presents evidence from paleontology and biology showing that Darwin’s theory is false and the biblical account of the origin of the various kinds of plants and animals is true. Dr. Mortenson ends with the spiritual implications of this issue.
Noah’s Flood, Rocks & Fossils - 65 minutes This popular talk examines the biblical evidence for a global flood catastrophe during Noah’s day and the geological evidence for rapid deposits of sediment as a result of that unique world-changing Flood. The talk emphasizes why it matters what we believe.
The Big Bang—Fact or Fiction? - 51 minutes Does scientific evidence require us to bow the knee to the “big bang” theory of cosmic evolution? Dr. Mortenson gives many powerful reasons, both scientific and biblical, that we should reject the “big bang” and trust the biblical account of the origin and development of the universe.
Dr. Terry Mortenson holds an MDiv and a PhD in the history of geology. He has lectured in 35 countries and formerly served for 26 years with Campus Crusade for Christ in the United States and in Eastern Europe. He now serves as an author, speaker, and researcher with Answers in Genesis.
