AiG’s Growing Global Outreach

Since the Supreme Court’s terrible decision in regard to gay “marriage,” I have had many Christians ask me what we should be doing now. Some of them seemed so dejected. Others in almost despair.

And now we are seeing an increasing number of legal battles, as secularists have been emboldened to move against Christians to try to restrict our free exercise of Christianity in the public arena. So what should we do?

Actually, it’s an easy question to answer. God tells us in His Word what to do! It’s simply this: Christians are to continue doing the King’s business!

In Luke 19, we read about a parable that Jesus told concerning a nobleman who gave people money and told them to do business until he returned:

Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’” (Luke 19:12–13)

This, of course, is a reminder that God has given each of us special gifts and talents that we are to use until King Jesus returns. Yes, we should continue to “do business” for the King, regardless of what the world is doing. That business includes:

• Go into the world and preach the gospel and make disciples (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19).
• Contend earnestly for the faith (Jude 3)
• Give answers to defend the faith (1 Peter 3:15)

Now I’m sure you’re very familiar with our Creation Museum outreach and the coming Ark Encounter. Together they will reach millions of souls for the gospel. But I also wanted to share another aspect of our ministry with you that is already touching millions more people around the world with the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.

Even in the midst of the growing anti-God rhetoric and secular activism in America, AiG continues to increase ways to reach more people, and in more countries, with the saving message of the gospel. For instance, in recent times we have been teaching creation apologetics to people of special groups in various countries, such as:

• the Biblical Creation Committee in Italy
• Malaysian/Asian Creation Leadership training team
• an Answers in Genesis affiliate ministry in Peru
• an AiG affiliate in the United Kingdom
• Russian delegates from the Slavic Gospel Association
• Bible college teachers in South Asia countries

Here in our office, AiG has added staff to the international department, such as translator and Spanish speaker Joe Owen, and Latin ministry coordinator Maria del Pilar Pierce from Colombia. We are already seeing a major impact on Spanish-speaking people. As you will read below, it’s an exploding ministry.

I have a special burden to do even more ministry abroad. You see, I originally came to America (with the support of some godly, visionary men in Australia) to become a “missionary” to a nation that, even in the 1980s, was turning its back on God’s Word. But moving here to America had another goal.

You see, America has so many media resources, missionaries, print operations, and so on, that it is an ideal place from which to get out the vital creation/gospel message to many nations. The ministry could become more global if it were based in the USA, not Australia, so my wife, children, and I moved to America in 1987, and not just to minister in this country but all over the world, with the US as the base. And God has mightily blessed.

Let me give you some more examples of our growing outreach globally and here in the USA.

Recently, AiG’s Latin American ministry was involved in three very successful Spanish-speaking conferences in Monterrey, Mexico; Corona, New York; and at Biola University, California.

AiG speakers have also recorded 52 (of a total of 130 planned) 24-minute episodes of creation apologetics with the Spanish TV network Aliento Visión. These programs are currently being aired in 20 countries on over 500 TV stations!

In the last half of this year, we will be conducting Spanish-speaking programs in:

• Santa Ana, National City, and San Diego, CA
• San Salvador, El Salvador
• Lima, Perú
• Córdoba, Argentina
• Windsor, Ontario, Canada
• Fortaleza, Brazil
• La Paz and Santa Cruz, Bolivia
• Netza, Mexico City, Atotonilco, Guadalajara, Torreón, and Coahula, Mexico

And already, we have several similar conferences lined up for 2016 in Cuba, Colombia, Paraguay, and the USA.

I am also pleased to report that AiG has a number of exciting Spanish translation projects underway: New Answers Book 2; Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World; One Race One Blood (book and DVD); Answers for Kids (vol. 1 and 2); The Last Adam DVD; and many more. By October we are aiming to have all the signage at the Creation Museum translated into Spanish!

Our Spanish-language ministry has increased so much that I’m excited to inform you that our Spanish website, AnswersInGenesis.org/es, has seen a 230% increase in traffic over last year!

Now, Spanish is not the only language among our international outreaches. We are receiving requests (almost on a daily basis) to have AiG resources translated into other languages. For instance, we have received serious translation requests in recent times from Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Germany, India, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Romania, Netherlands, Philippines, and various countries in the Middle East.

Right now we also have AiG resources being translated in Romania, Nepal, India, Italy, Middle Eastern countries (Arabic), and Pakistan (Urdu).

AiG also has international conferences coming up in:

• Belfast, Ireland (our “Mega Conference”)—September 3–5, 2015
• India—October 16–24, 2015
• Romania—October 22–30, 2015

In 2016, we have AiG international conferences scheduled in Germany, the Philippines, Romania, Italy, and South Korea (the site of our All-Asia Conference).

Many Answers in Genesis videos (including my Foundations DVDs and the Buddy Davis’ Amazing Adventures series) are now being broadcast on CGNTN (Christian Global Network Television). Our international team has even worked with Christians in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands to translate the video of my debate last year with Bill Nye “the Science Guy.”

Frankly, my fingers are getting a little tired typing all this! But really, it’s all very exciting to report.

Yes, our culture is certainly rebelling against the Lord more and more. But at the same time, God is opening up doors to reach the world like never before!

So what are we doing to engage the culture, at home and abroad? We are on about the King’s business, as He commanded us to be. But we couldn’t do it without your help.

Of course, we have been very focused recently on building the life-size Noah’s Ark in Northern Kentucky. But this month I wanted to make sure you did not forget the need to continue to support our many other ministry endeavors—such as our significant worldwide outreach and the many opportunities there.

God has certainly entrusted us with many, many resources in English. It is important we do our best to share these books and videos with the rest of the world. And, of course, our team of dynamic speakers continues to speak at churches and conferences across the U.S. and around the globe. (As I type this, our astronomer Dr. Danny Faulkner is speaking in Bolivia and I am in Australia.)

Let’s become more active in doing the King’s business until He comes!
