Hasn’t science proved the earth is millions of years old?
Well, there are two kinds of science. “Observational science” is directly testable, observable, and repeatable. But “historical science”—the kind of science that deals with the age of the earth, for example—isn’t directly testable, observable, or repeatable.
So what you believe about the past determines how you interpret the evidence. Science hasn’t proved the earth is very old. That’s an interpretation of the evidence. People usually point to radiometric dating as proof of long ages. But that’s based on assumptions that just can’t be proven.
We can trust what the Bible says about a young earth.
