Part 4

Listen

This is Ken Ham, inviting you to have an encounter with God’s Word at the Ark Encounter.

Transcript

Yesterday we learned it doesn’t take millions of years to form a fossil. Labs can make fossils virtually identical to natural ones in less than a day. All it takes to make a fossil are the right conditions: heat and pressure.

Now, what would cause billions of creatures to be buried and fossilized by heat and pressure?

Well, the Bible tells us that there was a global flood just a few thousand years ago. The floodwaters would’ve ripped up miles of sediment, redepositing it in layers.

Organisms would’ve been trapped and buried, quickly forming fossils. That’s why we can even find fossils of delicate creatures—such as jellyfish. Or even fossils with their last meal found in their bellies!
