Brace yourself—I have two shocking studies to share with you today.
The first study looked at ancient fossil remains discovered in Morocco. These fossils are supposedly 315,000 years old and were from our own species, Homo sapiens. Using 3D technology, the researchers attempted to reconstruct what these humans may have looked like. And you’ll be shocked at the results! (Not!)
According to the popular science report:
The findings suggest that some recognisable modern human facial features had already developed hundreds of thousands of years ago, even though early humans still possessed certain ancient skull characteristics.
A staggering 315,000 years ago, humans . . . looked like humans:
The reconstructed face shows strong facial features, a prominent jaw and an appearance that would not seem entirely unusual in modern society . . .
[The reconstruction] reveal[s] that humans living around 315,000 years ago looked surprisingly similar to people today.
In other words, in 315,000 years, there was no evolution, just minor variations. This is no surprise from a biblical creationist worldview perspective!
The second study used skull fragments to reconstruct what Denisovans, a variety of human that evolutionists believed lived 130,000 years ago, may have looked like. The Nature paper describes these people looking like this:
A low, sloping forehead, a massive brow ridge that curves backwards, rectangle-like eye sockets, flat cheeks and a moderately elevated bridge of the nose.
It then provides from detail:
When the team looked at the morphology of the skulls, jaws and teeth, they found that the upper and back part of the skull, including the skullcap that encases the brain, was low and wide, similar to Homo erectus. The Xujiayao fossils also shared traits with Neanderthals, modern humans and other later hominin species, such as an arched temporal squama, which is a flat bone found on the sides of the skull. There were also features unique to the Denisovan bones, including the flattened, elongated shape of the skull, and a nearly vertical plate-like bone at the back of the skull.
To translate that . . . these humans also looked like humans! Now isn’t that amazing?! Again, there are minor variations within the humankind, but only minor variations. There’s been no evolution over the supposed 130,000 years.
These fossils represent people made in the image of God, descended from Adam and Eve, just like you and me.
The reason human fossils, no matter how “ancient” they supposedly are (of course, they aren’t really that ancient—just a few thousand years old, representing people who lived after the global Flood), look like humans is that . . . well . . . they were humans.
These fossils represent people made in the image of God, descended from Adam and Eve, just like you and me.
People did not evolve. Man was made from dust, woman from his side, by God, just as Genesis describes.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
