Foolishness is always the end result of rejecting God’s Word and starting with human “wisdom” instead. “Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:22).
And this foolishness has been on clear display through the words of Texas Democrat James Talarico, who claims that God is “nonbinary” and that the Bible sometimes refers to God “as a female.” Biblically, this is nonsense—and AiG’s Dr. Terry Mortenson and I explain why in this video:
He’s leading others astray, and according to God’s Word, he’s a wolf who is perverting the grace of God into an excuse to sin.
But Talarico is not just a politician—he is also apparently attending a Presbyterian seminary (don’t worry, his seminary certainly won’t be coming to our Creation College Expo this November!). Sadly, his anti-biblical beliefs are becoming increasingly common among theologians and scholars, not because the Bible has changed or because it isn’t clear but because they’ve taken their own ideas and added them into the text. And they are notorious at taking verses out of context. They’re doing eisegesis (into), not exegesis (out of).
I doubt Talarico’s pastor is calling out his heresy and false teaching—but that’s what he needs! He’s leading others astray, and according to God’s Word, he’s a wolf who is perverting the grace of God into an excuse to sin.
I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:3–4)
If you’re a pastor or a Christian leader, we want you to be above reproach, standing faithful in an age of compromise. There is so much pressure on the church and her leaders to spew the kinds of teachings that Talarico does—but we cannot do so if we want to please our Lord. And being above reproach, faithfully living without compromise, is the theme of our upcoming Answers for Pastors & Leaders conference at the Ark Encounter, September 29–October 1, 2026.
Hear from myself, E.Z. Zwayne of Living Waters, Dr. H. B. Charles Jr., Costi Hinn, Dennis Rainey, and so many others. The conference also includes a special session with Megan Basham for wives and a concert featuring the Gettys. It will be an amazing time of equipping leaders to serve the Lord faithfully, without compromise, no matter what the culture does.
The early bird special ends soon, so be sure to register today.
Thank you to our sponsors, AdelFi (the Christian Community Credit Union), Herzog Foundation, The Master’s University, and Nutramax Laboratories, for helping make this event possible through their generous sponsorship.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
