In South America, the summer break usually occurs during our winter, due to latitude, the coffee plantation harvest, and being in the southern hemisphere. This release means that thousands of Spanish-speaking kids can enjoy VBS this “summer” in their own language. A church in El Salvador piloted the VBS and put together this video.
Here’s an English translation of the young girl quoting the Scripture she learned during VBS:
Hello my name is Sofía Gabriela Salinas Morales and I am 8 years old. And the verse that I learned today is 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
We’re very excited that thousands of Spanish-speaking children in the United States and around the world can now appreciate the unique Answers VBS in their own language. This will be a tremendous outreach and will help teach apologetics in nations that are really hungry for solid answers from God’s Word.
We want to say a big thank you to our friends at Editorial Doxa in El Salvador who worked hard to translate the VBS and format it for download. We appreciate their dedication to reaching kids with the good news of the gospel and the truth of God’s Word!
