Thousands Flock to Hear AiG Messages

by Ken Ham

Well the atheist bloggers hate it—reacting with their usual anti-intellectual emotional, vile, hateful, and blasphemous language (our Google alerts should sometimes be rated R!)—but people are flocking to hear AiG messages. There is a tremendous hunger in our culture for the truth. Just consider some of these statistics:

Creation Museum

Between Friday last week and this morning, over 8,000 people came to the Creation Museum in just those few days! (Total number since opening just over three years ago is getting close to 1,090,000—praise the Lord!)

AiG Meetings

At AiG meetings in Oklahoma this past weekend—more than 6,000 people (including hundreds of children) came through the doors of the church for the various meetings AiG spoke at (and that doesn’t include all the other meetings this past weekend where other AiG speakers were participating).

AiG Websites

On average, nearly one million people per month are visiting the AiG websites—with some months over a million.

VBS Program

This summer, It is estimated that 250,000 children will participate in AiG’s VBS programs being run by churches across the nation and around the world. (We just had reports of two churches in Australia that were so excited about the responses to the AiG VBS program; I will give you detailed reports later.)

Defending the Faith Conference Next Week

Around 2,500 people will be attending AiG’s Defending The Faith Conference in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area (Sevierville) this coming week in Tennessee. Although online registrations have closed, you can still register at the door—there is still some room for walk-in attendees. To find out more information about the Defending the Faith conference and our special guest speakers, unique women and youth programs, and special children’s workshops, go to the AiG website for details.

Below are some photographs taken Monday at our special children’s program in Oklahoma as part of our AiG conference.

Kids in the auditorium as I spoke:

The associate pastor of the church had some real dinosaur bones that were a phenomenal hit with the kids:

At the end of the program I asked the children what was the most likely age of these dinosaur bones—and they all answered, “around four thousand three hundred years ago.” That was because I taught them that most fossils came from the Flood around 4,300 years ago—the kids certainly got the message!

One of the Most Awesome Experences in My Life

Recently a family visited the Creation Museum bringing their teenage son who wants to study to be a creation scientist speaker and researcher. We made sure we spent some time with this young man and here is what he wrote to us:
Dear Mr. Ham, Dr. Menton, Mr. & Mrs. Hodge, and Dr. Lisle,

Thank you so very much for making my trip to the Creation Museum unforgettable! It was a huge honor to meet all of you. You gave me some very important information so that I can further my career as a creationist. Answers in Genesis is an amazing organization, and with out it, most Christians (including myself) would be left in the darkness of evolutionary belief.

Mr. Ham, it was a huge shellshock meeting you! Thank you for taking the time to talk with me and my family. The book you gave me is amazing and I cant wait to read another one of your great books!

Dr. Menton, thank you for your advice. I thought it was very funny when you told us the story about how your lab that you made as a kid was more advanced than Darwin's!

Mr. Hodge, thank you for the college list you gave me. It will definitely help me in making my decision on which college I should go to.

Dr. Lisle, thank you for taking the time to answer my question regarding thermodynamics. I was stumped on that topic for weeks, so it meant a lot to me when you cleared it up for me.

Thank you Mrs. Hodge for going above and beyond our request. Going in the museum, I only expected to meet with Mr. Ham. I was overjoyed when I met the other folks with Answers in Genesis, so thank you!

Also, a big thank you to Ms. Connie Par-Due for setting all this up.

My visit was with out doubt one of the most awesome experiences in my life. Answers in Genesis is doing amazing things for God's kingdom. Maybe one day, I can be a part of it! Thank you again for the amazing time!

God bless!

Bryan

Praise the Lord we are seeing so many more young people like this who are going to make a big difference in this world as God blesses.

Devotion

Where I will meet with you

(Numbers 17:4) And thou shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

The greatest thing about the place of the morning quiet time and the local church meeting is that they are places where God meets with man.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
