Reaching Public School Educators

by Ken Ham on July 2, 2010

Again this year, as we have done for many years now, AiG has provided a team of staff and volunteers to work with a caucus at the largest conference of public school educators in the world (NEA—National Education Association) to reach them with the creation/gospel message. Here is an excerpt from the first blog entry:

Well we have arrived and gotten everything set up for this years National Education Association Conference in New Orleans. This years team is made up of Tony and Christy Ramsek and family, Jobe and Jenna Dee Martin , Mike and Jane Gendron , Grace Mally, Frank Zitzman, James Opperman, and Dr. Cherian John.

The theme of the booth this year is Romans 1:16 We have brought over 2000 DVD’s primarily The Last Adam We also have brought many books, tracts, booklets, as well as this last years issues of Answers Magazine to be given away freely to all those who stop by.

Please pray with us that these materials will make it into the hands of people with open hearts to the Gospel of Christ, so that they may in turn influence others for His kingdom. We will be updating regularly the opportunities that we have to proclaim the name of Christ. Thanks for praying with and for us.

Go to the Outreach Events blog to view the many photographs and keep up with daily blog entries on the happenings at the NEA conference.

A Is for Adam and Salvation

Over the years, I have heard many testimonies from parents about children who committed their lives to the Lord as a result of the Lord using the book A is for Adam. When they get to the section where it asks if your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life, these children have asked their parents to pray with them, so their name can be in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Well, I heard a very similar testimony from the Blake family from Rochester New York who visited the Creation Museum yesterday, and we had this photo taken:

Zechariah and Samantha Blake have both been greatly impacted by the AiG ministry. Zechariah prayed to have his name in the Lamb’s Book of Life after his parents read A is for Adam to him when he was four years old. Praise the Lord for the impact of the AiG/Creation Museum on this younger generation! Here is photograph of Zechariah, Samantha, and me also taken yesterday:

From Spain and Sweden

We had two special international visitors at the Creation Museum on one day recently. Anders Gardeborn is a physicist and the former president of a creationist organization in Sweden—called Foreningen GENESIS.

Anders is now the group’s spokesman. He runs a computer company called Sacoit in Stockholm. While here, he and his wife dropped off a copy of one of his books and one of his evangelistic booklets, which are both in Swedish.

Later that day, some of our staff members ran into Larry and Rose Thornburg, missionaries in Spain (they live near Madrid). They have been following various creation ministries for years, including the Institute for Creation Research, back to the 1970s. They have been ABWE missionaries for 35 years in Spain; see their photo on their Facebook profile.

We will make sure that these two families will connect with our AiG international director, Dr. David Crandall, so that we can be of assistance to Christians in both Sweden and Spain in sharing the creation/gospel message.

Devotion

We do not know what has become of him

(Exodus 32:1) And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.

Sin brings a despising of the man of God.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
