Creation Museum in Washington, D.C.?

by Ken Ham

I knew that would get your attention. Some of the atheist bloggers have probably already sent this all over the world thinking the headline is true and trying to get people to stop it from being built in America’s capitol!

But—even though it is not true—some people in France think it is:

Read this news report from a French source:

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of naturalist Charles Darwin. But the Creation Museum in Washington, DC, continues to teach visitors that the world was created in six days. Forget about dinosaurs, the origins of life, and the birth of the universe. According to Ken Ham, the creator of the Creation Museum in Washington, DC, the world is only several thousand years old, despite the claims of scientists. Ham said, “What this museum is saying is that God created the world in 6 days, about 6000 years ago.”

I hope French tourists don’t try to find the Creation Museum in Washington, D.C. They will find ardent evolutionary ones, though!

Update on an “Expelled” Scientist

You may remember an article we posted over a year ago about the dismissal of a scientist at the renowned Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution because of his creationist beliefs–not because of his abilities and competence. Dr. Nathaniel Abraham was a postdoctoral researcher in fish development at this institution in Massachusetts until 2004, when he informed his supervisor that he did not accept evolution. He was told that he should resign or be fired, and when he was let go, it led to a civil rights case over religious discrimination.

For an update on this saga, go here.

Dr. Abraham now teaches at Liberty University in Virginia, and I will be seeing him soon at our upcoming “Answers for Darwin” conference–to be held next door to Liberty University at Thomas Road Baptist Church starting tomorrow. This national conference, which is free (ages 13 and up), will have two of Dr. Abraham’s colleagues speaking with Dr. Andrew Snelling of Answers in Genesis and me. It starts Sunday evening. Go to the conference page on AiG’s website for more information.

Richmond AiG Conference

Today, Dr. Jason Lisle and I are in Richmond, Virginia speaking for the day at a special AiG conference at Grove Avenue Baptist Church.

I speak at the church’s morning service Sunday morning, which will be webcast and also live on NRB’s television channel on Direct TV channel 378–see this website for more info:

The service will also live on the local TV affiliate here in the Richmond area and on many cable channels. Quite an opportunity to reach a lot of people with the relevance of Genesis message.

Devotion

Friend

(2 Chronicles 20:7) Are not you our God, who did drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and gave it to the seed of Abraham your friend for ever?

What could be better than to be able to say that the Lord Jesus Christ is a friend of ours and to know that He would say we are a friend of His?

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
