One resource we think your kids will love is Answers in Genesis' Awesome Facts About Animals. Written from a young earth creationist viewpoint, this fun book helps kids see how creative our God is! Filled with beautiful photographs and incredibly interesting facts, it can be a great resource for families no matter how they interpret the Genesis account.
This resource will grow with your children. Little ones will be drawn to the bright photographs and interesting facts. As kids get older, they can do more research about the animals they are most curious about. There's even a simple glossary in the back so they can use it to add definitions to a nature journal or notebook.
The photographs of the animals are stunning. Gorgeous, colorful, up-close photos help your kids see the details of the animals along with bits of their habitats.
The "awesome facts" really are awesome! One definition of awesome is "inspiring great admiration". As your children read about each animal (or you read to them—it's such a fun book to share with your kids!), they'll be pointed to our incredibly creative God. It's apparent that the design of the animals featured in this book could not happen by chance.
You will be fascinated, too! My (Kay's) kids may be grown, but I'm sitting here reading the book because it is so interesting. I can't wait to share it with the little ones in my life. (And I have a feeling I may be "sharing" some of it with my husband, too. Once a homeschooler, always a homeschooler.)”
