Realizing we were missing out on potentially reaching over one-sixth of the world’s population, Answers in Genesis had been searching for some way to minister to the over one billion people who speak Chinese.
Prayers were answered when a professor at a Chinese seminary contacted AiG, volunteering the services of his students in translating portions of the AiG English site into their native language. AiG provided the articles, and Carol Hsu (a research scientist at California Institute of Technology) began translating as she had time. Debbie Hussein, who was born in China and grew up in Hong Kong, works with Carol in translating and proofreading articles. 1 Dr Esther Su, an international speaker fluent in three Chinese dialects, is currently conceiving ideas for a Chinese edition of Creation magazine.
Today, Answers in Genesis is pleased to launch its newest language Web site in Chinese, thanks to the dedicated efforts of these volunteers. The Web is a great way to reach those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to faith-building resources, and we desire to take full advantage of all its capabilities by continuing to reach people in their native language. Thank you to all of those of you who are supporting us with prayer, voluntary help, and donations-it all enables us to go on ministering in such ways and expanding our outreach.
If you are fluent in a language other than English or Spanish, and are interested in translating Answers in Genesis materials and articles into your native language on a volunteer basis, please contact our translations coordinator for more information.
To view the new Chinese Web site, you need to have Chinese Traditional (Big 5) Character coding available in your browser.
