This week we’re in a series on the development of an unborn baby. And we’re halfway to birth . . . at twenty weeks. Baby is now six and a half inches long . . . and mom’s feeling her child move around.

Now, by this time, babies in many states are at least partially protected by law from abortion. Many people don’t like the idea of killing a baby that kicks and looks like a tiny version of a full-term baby.

But abortion at any stage is killing a human being. The baby at fertilization is the same baby at twenty weeks. Nothing has changed but the level of development.

So, just like we don’t let parents kill their toddlers, all babies should be protected right from fertilization.
