This is Ken Ham, often interviewed on radio and TV on the Bible’s reliability and history.
In many areas, rock layers—thousands of feet thick—have been bent and folded, but without breaking. How can that happen if each layer was laid down separately over millions of years?
Well, as we learned last week, if those layers were hard when they were folded, we wouldn’t see any folding! They would’ve cracked and broken.
All those layers had to be soft when they were bent. Then they hardened in a folded position. This is a tremendous confirmation that the rock layers weren’t laid down slowly over millions of years but quickly. And the Bible describes the event that could’ve rapidly laid down these layers—the global flood of Noah’s day!
