When certain elements in rocks decay, they produce helium. Now, helium’s very slippery, quickly leaving the rock. It leaves so fast that it should’ve leaked out within just one hundred thousand years. And yet rocks are full of helium! Even in rocks thought to be over a billion years old!

This fact is another big challenge to evolutionists. But it’s not a problem for the biblical worldview. The earth is only about six thousand years old. When we measure the amount of helium in rocks from the original creation, they’ve lost only about six thousand years’ worth of helium!
