Radiometric dating is used to give dates of millions of years to various rock layers. But, is it reliable?

Well, it’s based on a series of unprovable assumptions. And if any of those assumptions are wrong, we can’t trust the results. And we have evidence that the assumptions are wrong!

For example, we know that the rocks at Mount St. Helens were created after a volcanic eruption in the 1980s. But radiometric dating gives ages of three to four hundred thousand years!

And rocks in Hawaii that are only two hundred years old gave ages of six to thirty-nine million years.

Radiometric dating can’t give accurate dates for rocks, we can’t trust it!
