How did kangaroos get to Australia—or polar bears to the Arctic? Now, this is a question I commonly hear from people doubting what the Bible says about a global flood. They claim animals couldn’t have spread around the world from the Middle East, which is where the ark landed.

But there are several ways animals could’ve spread out. The flood likely created huge mats of floating vegetation that floated on the ocean currents. Some animals could’ve rafted between islands.

And the flood was followed by an ice age. Now, this event lowered ocean levels, exposing land bridges—such as the Bering Strait between what’s now Russia and Alaska.
