Tomorrow in America it is the National Day of Prayer. Now it is a day set aside for Christians around the nation to pray for America. Many people will pray asking God to bless America. But they should actually be praying for His forgiveness and mercy.

You see, America has legalized gay “marriage,” made the murder of children in their mother’s wombs legal, and has largely removed God from public places. Why should God bless America? America’s rebellion sounds like a recipe for judgment, not blessing!

As Christians gather to pray tomorrow, we need to pray that God will have mercy on our nation. And we need to pray that the gospel will change hearts. That is the only thing that will restore this nation.
