The works of Charles Spurgeon have inspired millions of Christians around the world for over a hundred years. His wisdom and insight into God’s Word and world have helped others discover the richness of Scripture. Answers in Genesis is pleased to present the text of a large collection of sermons from this 19th century “Prince of Preachers.”
You see, I have something to sell this evening; I have to invite you to come and buy that which, will be proclaimed this night in the gospel.
We are continually insisting upon it from day to day, that salvation is not by works, but by grace. We lay this down as one of the very foundational doctrines of the gospel.
The unbelief of the children of Israel, prompted them to send spies into Canaan. Only two were true to the Lord.
It is astonishing how distance blunts the keen edge of anything that is disagreeable.
No man ever yet looked to Jehovah God, as he is in himself, and found any comfort in him, for “our God is a consuming fire.”
The peculiar sin of the Jews, the sin which aggravated more than any of their former iniquities, was their rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

Men usually dream about that which is most upon their minds.
If one part of Scripture is more dear to the believer than any other, it must be this which contains his Master’s last prayer before he entered through the torn vail of his own crucified body.
During this week my mind has been much directed to the subject of Providence and you will not wonder when I relate a portion of one day’s story.

These sermons from Charles Spurgeon are a series that is for reference and not necessarily a position of Answers in Genesis. Spurgeon did not entirely agree with six days of creation and dives into subjects that are beyond the AiG focus (e.g., Calvinism vs. Arminianism, modes of baptism, and so on).
