What Is Going on in the US Today?

If you look around at what’s happening in our country—especially if you pay attention to the news or politics—you might be tempted to throw up your hands and ask, “What is going on?”

On one hand, there are mobs storming churches, protests, and riots. And on the other hand, we have schools indoctrinating kids in a blatantly anti-God worldview, and highly educated medical professionals who can’t (or won’t) answer simple biological questions (like “Can a man get pregnant?”) because of political ideology. It can be quite frustrating to watch how upside-down our Western culture is becoming!

AiG’s Bryan Osborne recorded a video discussing the recent disruption of a Minneapolis church service by belligerent protesters. He does a really good job digging into what’s behind these people’s actions and what our response should be as Christians. I encourage you to watch the video below.

It matters whose word you’re taking as your ultimate authority—God’s Word or man’s word.

Yes, as I’ve said so many times, worldview matters. And it matters whose word you’re taking as your ultimate authority—God’s Word or man’s word. Only one of those provides a firm foundation to build your worldview on.

Another example of faulty worldviews showing themselves happened on the national stage just this last week when a doctor testifying before a Senate committee was unwilling to answer the simple question of whether men can get pregnant.

Another AiG speaker, Dr. Georgia Purdom, recorded a short video in response.

See how easy that was?

Unfortunately, these two examples are far from being an anomaly. It seems like every time we turn around, there’s something equally as frustrating going on, but I’m thankful we can always turn to God’s Word for the clarity and wisdom to know how we, as Christians, should view and respond to what’s happening in our world. And I’m thankful for AiG’s speakers and researchers who do such a great job of addressing current events, presenting the facts, and pointing people back to Scripture, which never changes.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
