Why Answers.tv?

Innovation Needed

Because of the current situation concerning the coronavirus and the required temporary closing of the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum to the public, AiG began using our websites and social media with new content, including many live programs, to continue to impact people with God’s Word and the gospel. We looked at many innovative ways to reach people and we’ve seen an enormous spike in people interacting with our ministry as a result.

Limitations of Social Media Platforms

But social media has great limitations. Only 2–10% of Facebook followers will receive notifications for a post or a livestream. Facebook requires payment to push content more widely. Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter block content they deem contrary to their policies—this can mean (and has meant) certain Christian content. AiG has had issues with posts being blocked, deleted, or penalized for certain content, for example, and there have been many other problems. Social media groups use paid advertising that can at times be inappropriate. It’s an ongoing problem and battle. We do need our own platform as we look to the future to help protect the freedom to proclaim God’s Word as we do.

Miraculous Provision

An AiG supporter approached us with a challenge to use the current situation to launch our own streaming platform and thus take our dissemination of digital content to a whole new level for the future. This person worked out a special arrangement that not only greatly reduced our costs to do this but also deferred costs to when we are fully operational again and have the ability to pay. We have often dreamed about having our own streaming platform, but it seemed way out of reach financially and timewise for our staff.

Content

All AiG video content will eventually be available through Answers.tv, along with all live streaming. Some of this will still be available through Facebook and YouTube, but live streaming of many of our events/conferences will be exclusive to Answers.tv with most of it being available for the base subscription price. AiG will also be producing special science and other types of documentary programs, special animal programs featuring our zoo staff, and other science and biblical programs featuring our AiG scientists, speakers, writers, etc. and facilities such as the laboratory, observatory, planetarium, etc. The potential is enormous. We will also be including content from like-minded Christian organizations such as Living Waters (Ray Comfort). Initial categories of content grouping include: News, Science, Bible & Relevance, Kids, and Events. We will include concerts by our resident artists and others and kids will love all the praise songs produced for our VBS programs. Over time, we will expand the categorization and continue to add much more content. Launching is just the beginning!

How to Stream

Initially, Answers.tv will be web-based to get it launched quickly. It can be accessed on any device, including smart phones, computers, and tablets. Over the next couple of months, we will be adding access through Apple, Google, Roku, etc. For now, visit Answers.tv.

Worldwide

Answers.tv crosses all boundaries and will be available to all countries. It’s a phenomenal way for AiG to reach the world. The cost will be billed to a credit card in the currency of the consumer.

Inexpensive for Consumer

We wanted to make this very affordable for the consumer and cover our costs. Even though the price is very inexpensive, the more people subscribe, the more content we can produce and the more this also helps the ministry of AiG as we continue to produce great programming for the whole family. We will be charging $4.99 per month (USD) or only $39.99 (USD) per year (just over $3 per month), with a 7-day free trial offer.
