Over the years, I’ve found that many Christians are unaware of what’s really being taught at the Christian college they support. They assume because the school claims the name of Christ, teaches the Bible, and says in their marketing materials that they are faithful, that they truly are—but that’s not the case with many Christian colleges (especially many of the most well-known ones). So what’s really being taught?
These schools may say they believe God’s Word as the authority, but they compromise with man’s ideas in many areas, including creation and the age of the earth).
In a recent video for my YouTube channel, I shared some of what’s being taught at Christian schools you’ve probably heard of and why these teachings are such a problem (ultimately, it comes back to the issue of the authority of the Word of God—these schools may say they believe God’s Word as the authority, but they compromise with man’s ideas in many areas, including creation and the age of the earth).
You can watch that video below:
But despite the rampant compromise throughout much of Christian academia, there are still a minority of schools that do stand on the authority of Scripture—so much so that they are willing to publicly stand with Answers in Genesis as a partner school. We are thrilled we can recommend these schools to you (though, of course, you must always do your due diligence in checking them out). One of these schools is Emmaus University in Iowa.
This school offers Christ-centered education with uncompromised biblical teaching and valuable professional degrees, all with the goal of educating and equipping learners to impact the world for Christ.
Emmaus offers academic programs in a wide variety of fields, including applied mathematics, Bible and theology, business administration, computer studies, counseling psychology, educational ministries, health sciences, intercultural studies, music, and teaching.
If you’re looking for a Christian college that stands rooted on God’s Word—and won’t plant seeds of doubt in your child or teach them to compromise—I encourage you to check out Emmaus. Or make plans to attend our free Creation College Expo, November 5–7, 2026, and visit their booth and many others in person.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
