During this time of year (the winter months of January and February), the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum attractions are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. But the attractions are a different kind of busy on those days.
This winter closure gives our skilled artist teams two days a week to be busy revitalizing and restoring exhibits and to do subtle upgrades in various areas.
This winter closure gives our skilled artist teams two days a week to be busy revitalizing and restoring exhibits and to do subtle upgrades in various areas. They also install new, upgraded, and replacement signs throughout the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. Their efforts help us ensure that these remarkable attractions are presented at their best!
Enjoy these photos of some of what they’ve been doing recently.
When you plan your visit, be sure to check our hours and open days before coming to our attractions. We have seasonal hours throughout the year.
Construction also doesn’t stop just because it’s winter. We’re continuing to work on the quickly advancing new Welcome Center and Jerusalem building at the Ark Encounter. The Welcome Center will hopefully be opened later this year, and the Jerusalem building will open late 2026. It’s exciting to see the structures form—they are going to be such a wonderful addition to the Ark attraction.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
