From January to mid-March, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are closed Sunday through Tuesday. This enables various teams to carry out maintenance, upgrades, etc. And I thought I’d share just a little of what they’re doing with you.

Here are just a few of the projects that took place at the Ark Encounter recently:

  • The fabrication team installed their new, custom-made shelving in the main gift store, located under the Ark.
  • The facilities team worked on resurfacing the floor around the ground floor elevator.
  • The grounds team worked on cleaning and prepping the grounds for spring.
  • The zoo staff continued to make some needed fixes throughout Ararat Ridge Zoo.

Because we live in a sin cursed universe, maintenance is never ending at the attractions and our offices!

Everyone’s Favorite Dino Is Back

One of the most photographed dinosaurs in the country is back in its beloved spot at the front of the Creation Museum (many of you have probably taken your photo with this dinosaur in our portico area). The dino was taken to our artist workshop for some much-needed service and cleaning.

Homeschool Curriculum

I’ll leave you with one last update, and that’s for our Answers Bible Curriculum for Homeschool. This is a K–5, four-year curriculum, and we’ve been releasing a new year of it each year for the past four years—and it’s finally finished! Year 4 is available for preorder and will start shipping soon. We’re so excited for this curriculum that parents can use to teach their children through the entire Bible with apologetics, worldview, biblical authority, theology, application, and a gospel-centered focus. There’s really nothing else like it on the market—it’s so “meaty”!

By the way, there is so much material in this curriculum it can also be used beyond grade 5. AiG has a video to explain how to also use it for some higher grades.

Part of the curriculum includes a video for each lesson featuring a fun object lesson and Bible teaching from AiG’s Bryan Osborne and Avery Foley. Those videos, called Building Blocks, are available on Answers TV to those who have purchased the curriculum or those who have an Answers TV subscription. The first 10 episodes of the final year are now available, and our video team is working to put the rest of them up on the platform soon. So be sure to check out Building Blocks to enjoy fun teaching through the entire Bible with your children.

Yes, there’s always exciting upgrades, construction, and more happening at the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Answers in Genesis!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
