This year, Easter Sunday happens to fall on April 1, which is also known as April Fool’s Day. It seems likely that some people (particularly atheist trolls on my social media) will take advantage of this collision of dates to mock the Resurrection and those who believe it.
But it’s actually those who reject God and the Resurrection who are “fools” (Psalm 14:1). You see, the Bible tells us that the Resurrection has been demonstrated with “many infallible proofs” (Acts 1:3 NKJV)—there’s enough evidence that confirms the Resurrection to convince anyone, but many people suppress that truth in unrighteousness.
You can learn more about these “infallible proofs” in AiG’s Tim Chaffey’s article, “Resurrection—No Doubt About It.”
Share the Hope of the Gospel
We need to be sharing the hope of the gospel with others—and Easter is a great time to do that with people open to visiting a church or having spiritual conversations. And if you’d like to learn more about sharing the gospel with creation evangelism—an effective evangelism method in our increasingly secular age—I encourage you to read my book, Why Won’t They Listen? It’s available as a free online book or for purchase through our online bookstore.
If you’re looking for a great resource to give people after you’ve shared the gospel message with them or after they’ve visited your church, consider Begin. This book, edited by my son-in-law Bodie Hodge and me, contains select excerpts from Scripture, a commentary on those passages, and answers to the most common questions.
It’s a great resource for brand-new Christians or seekers, and it’s on sale for just $4.99 through tomorrow when you use promo code BEGIN18. You can also purchase a whole case of 48 for only $3 for each book.
Learn more about these resources and others at AnswersBookstore.com.
And happy Easter! Enjoy this day of celebrating our Lord and Savior and the life he gives us.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
