Articles about supposed evidence for evolution are published on an almost daily basis. Here is one from yesterday titled “World's Oldest Stone Tools Predate Humans.” It appeared in many news sources such as this one.
Here are just a few observations:
- The fallible dating methods based on assumptions are not discussed—just presented as supposed fact:
- Man’s evolutionary ideas continue to change:
Scientists recognize evidence of deliberate design in stone tools—but not in DNA!
Interesting how they recognize the evidence of design looking at stone tools: "I have seen some of these artifacts in the flesh, and I am convinced they were fashioned deliberately." Of course, when these same evolutionary scientists look at DNA, the most complex information system and language system in the universe, they conclude it was not fashioned deliberately but happened by natural processes!
- Scientists make up a fictional story all based on believing their fallible, assumption-laced (and not detailed in the article) dating methods give absolute dates:
The oldest handmade stone tools discovered yet predate any known humans and may have been wielded by an as-yet-unknown species . . .
The discovery also rewrites the book on the kind of environmental and evolutionary pressures that drove the emergence of toolmaking . . . “we were surprised that the tools we found are so much older than the Oldowan, at 3.3 million years old”
The Lomekwi 3 evidence suggests that important evolutionary changes that would later be really important for Homo to survive on the savannah were actually evolving beforehand, in a still-wooded environment
I’m reminded of when I’ve often had someone at a conference come to me and say something like, “But the Bible is not a scientific textbook!”
I then answer, “I’m glad it’s not a scientific textbook like the ones used in public schools and universities, as they change all the time. But the Bible is primarily a textbook of historical science—it is God’s infallible historical science that doesn’t change! It is an infallible scientific textbook.”
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalms 119:89)
