The Bible and the Origin of Death

by Ken Ham

For our chapel on Tuesday, Dr. Terry Mortenson of our staff gave an analysis of what the Bible says about death, the Fall, and the curse in Genesis 3 to show why we as Christians cannot accept the idea of millions of years of death, disease, and extinction in the animal world before Adam and Eve were created. This is a part of a message that he brought to attendees at our Creation College in July in a talk entitled “Evolution: The Religion of Death.”

This important teaching of no death before Adam and the age of the earth is developed by Terry in this article.

International Travels

Please keep AiG speaker Carl Kerby in your prayers, as he has a busy couple of months internationally and nationally. Carl is home only two days the month of October and just four in November. During this period he will travel from Bermuda to the Philippines—and then on to Japan. The ministry opportunities in these nations are quite strategic.

In Japan, Carl will be speaking from one end of the nation to the other end—Okinawa to Hokkaido and every place in between. In Bermuda, Pastor Troy is very excited about the upcoming ministry. He has said that much of the island of Bermuda is “buzzing” about the seminar. They have had problems in Bermuda recently that have brought to light the fact that the people need to hear the scriptural authority message of Answers in Genesis.

In the Philippines, Carl will be speaking in three key churches, as well as two ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) conferences, a training seminar, and a Christian camp. Your prayers for protection, wisdom, and strength for Carl—as well as his family while he travels—would be greatly appreciated.

First response

(Numbers 10:9) And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Our responsibility as priests of the Lord Jesus Christ is to respond to trouble, first by blowing the alarm of prayer and not going into battle thinking we can handle it.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
