Was Moses High on Drugs?

As we read in the Scripture, there is nothing new under the sun. The Daily Mail in London printed an article that began:

When Moses received the Ten Commandments from God, he was summoned right to the top of Mount Sinai.But the man who led the Children of Israel to safety may have been even higher at the time, if an Israeli academic is to be believed.

Psychology professor Benny Shanon says it was likely Moses was hallucinating under the influence of a mind-altering drug at the time of his biblical achievements.

I remember as a child growing up, my father had to deal with liberal church leaders who tried to explain away the miracles in the Bible. This new article trying to explain away the burning bush miracle and the receiving of the Ten Commandments is really nothing new! Of course if one reads the actual accounts in the Bible, it is easy to see there is much more to them that doesn’t fit with the nonsense this Bible skeptic is saying.

As the Bible states, “men loved darkness rather than light”—as long as this earth exists in its present state, there will always be those who try to explain it away rather than submit to its authority as the Word of the infinite Creator God. You can read the entire article at:

“Other plans”

(Job 29:18) Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

We may think that our days will be smooth coasting, but God may have some other plans for us to prepare us for Heaven.
