Jerry Falwell Ministries endorses Creation Museum

by Ken Ham on June 3, 2007

Although the secular media (and a lot of Christian media) have been extremely interested in the Creation Museum opening, there has been little said from Christian Leadership around the world. We were thrilled to see Jonathan Falwell (son of the late Dr. Jerry Falwell) write an article calling the Creation Museum a "godsend." Jonathan’s article stated:

The multi-million dollar Creation Museum, a product of Answers in Genesis, is now open in Hebron, Kentucky (just outside of Cincinnati). This multi-million dollar museum, designed by a former Universal Studios exhibit director, takes visitors on an amazing walk through biblical history. Included in this state-of-the-art 60,000-square-foot structure are computer-generated visual effects, more than 50 exotic animals, life-sized dinosaur animatronics and a special-effects theater designed to thrill (and educate) the entire family. I believe the Creation Museum is a godsend. Our public schools almost exclusively teach from an evolutionary perspective. And the mainstream media approach evolution as fact. Meanwhile, those who hold creationism views are often depicted as narrow-minded Jesus freaks.

Dr. Jerry Falwell visited the Creation Museum when it was under construction. He was so thrilled this was being done, and then said to me something like, “Ken, I want to see every Liberty University student go through this place."

30 YEARS OF RACISM GONE IN 50 MINUTES

After one of my talks in Wisconsin, a man came up to me and said he recently watched my video on the "origin of the ‘races’" and he said, "30 years of racism left me in 50 minutes!" He then asked if he could give me a big hug! Thank you Lord for changed lives.

8 PEOPLE SAVED

While we were waiting in the lobby of the hotel yesterday, a man came in looking for someone. He noticed me and said, "Are you Ken Ham?" He was so excited. He said he worked for the government and worked with Navy Seals. He said many are ardent atheists. However, he has been using AiG materials (books, videos) and has seen 8 people converted as a result. He was so on fire for the AiG ministry.

FAIR AND BALANCED?

Recently I conducted around 80 media interviews, to do with the opening of the Creation Museum. The only one I was disappointed with was the O’Reilly Factor. Bill O’Reilly was away, so his stand-in monitored a mini debate between me and Lawrence Krauss (one of the people opposing the Creation Museum). I was told by the producer not to talk over the other parties, but wait till I was asked to make a statement—so that’s what I did. I was able to make one statement, but then when asked to respond to my opposition a little later on, I got out six words, "If you read the Bible, Jesus . . . " The interviewer then cut me off. I think he may have thought I was saying if YOU read YOUR Bible. However, I was making a general statement and was going to quote Jesus quoting Genesis to show how Jesus took Genesis as literal history. I really don’t think this show was that "fair and balanced." I’ve received a number of emails about this interview/debate. Here is one of them:

I saw Ken Ham's "interview" on the O'Reilly Factor tonight. I praise God for His word. Ken Ham was calm, cool, and collected (a godly man!!) as usual. As soon as he said the name of Jesus, John shut him down and didn't even let him finish his defense of the word of God! I know that there will be many attacks on the museum. I will be praying for all of you and Ken especially. The scoffers just prove His word true every day.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
