Creation Museum in Australian newspapers

by Ken Ham on May 28, 2007

As Mally and I still consider Australia home (like the song “I Still Call Australia Home”), it is thrilling to see the secular press printing news about the opening of the Creation Museum in the US. Other secular publications in Australia have also printed news about this historic event. As far as I know, there has been no Christian media or Christian organizations in Australia that carried news about the museum, which is sad, considering this is one of the greatest evangelistic tools of this century. I’ve included a link for the article with an excerpt below.

LIKE many modern museums, the newest US tourist attraction includes some awesome exhibits - roaring dinosaurs and a life-sized ship. But only at the Creation Museum in Kentucky do the dinosaurs sail on the ship - Noah’s Ark, to be precise.
The Christian creators of the sprawling museum, unveiled today, hope to draw as many as half a million people each year to their state-of-the-art project, which depicts the Bible’s first book, Genesis, as literal truth.
While the $27 million ($A32 million) museum near Cincinnati has drawn snickers from media and condemnation from US scientists, those who believe God created the heavens and the Earth in six days about 6000 years ago say their views are finally being represented. “What we’ve done here is to give people an opportunity to hear information that is not readily available . . . to challenge them that really you can believe the Bible’s history,” said Ken Ham, president of the group Answers in Genesis that founded the museum.

OTHER MEDIA SAT/SUN:

There were MANY other news items and TV news spots etc. and MANY more to come. Another large media contingent is expected Monday for the first open day to the public, and of course, the protestors are expected at the front gates. I’ll give you a report on that afterward.

I’ve included two photographs of the ribbon cutting and one of Mally at the ribbon cutting as I asked her to stand and honored her for her support of me and the ministry of these many long years.
