Enthusiastic crowds with standing room only gathered Sunday morning and evening at Lakeside Bible Chapel in Sterling Heights, Michigan, to hear Dr. Tommy Mitchell explain “Why Genesis Matters?” “Why Can’t a Day Mean a Day?” and “Jurassic Prank: A Dinosaur Tale.” Four hundred adults and young people filled the pews and the foyer and then eagerly gathered books to learn more. Many said that they’d never heard anything like this before and that with this information they’d be able to teach their children the truth. Thanks to Pastor Ray Gonzalez’s efforts to get the word out about these meetings, not only to the members of Lakeside, but also visitors from a number of other churches will now have more answers to give about God’s Word. A number of visitors gathered materials to teach youth and adult classes, eager, they said, to counter the false teaching many children are hearing at schools and to equip the fathers to teach their children why they should be confident about the truth and relevance of the Bible (see photograph).
