Although I mentioned this in a previous blog, I want to remind all the ladies about the True Woman Conference 2010 in Chattanooga, Tennessee (March 25–27). It’s still not too late to register! Or, if you can’t make that event, maybe you can attend the Indianapolis or Ft. Worth conferences. At all the conferences they have a lineup of great speakers that will be sure to equip and encourage you in God’s Word. Answers in Genesis will have a booth at the Chattanooga and Indianapolis conferences, and I’ll be there to showcase the importance of the message of biblical authority for women.
As the mother of a six-year-old, I know the questions children ask can sometimes seem endless. Children are smart and want to know about the world around them. How do we as their mothers, Sunday school teachers, children’s program directors, etc. answer the questions they’re asking? Do we know how to answer questions like these?
Are we connecting God’s world to God’s Word? Are we teaching our children to give an answer (1 Peter 3:15)? The word answer in 1 Peter 3:15 in the original Greek is apologia. This means a defense—not just a simple reply—but a defense of the faith.
It’s easy to do that with Answers in Genesis resources. I say that from personal experience of using it in real life settings in my home and church. It’s the “meat” of the Word, and it teaches children to not only know God’s Word but to see how it makes sense of our world and defend their faith in an increasingly secular society.
Later this week I will be entering the world of social media even more, and will have Facebook and Twitter accounts. Be sure to check back for more details.
Answers in Genesis is an apologetics ministry, dedicated to helping Christians defend their faith and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
