Right Now . . . Please Pray for the Creation Museum Project

by Ken Ham

We recognize that even during this joyous, celebratory time, there will likely be attacks on the museum project . . . and the AiG ministry in general.

As AiG’s Creation Museum is planning a May 28 opening and is already attracting huge interest by the national and international media. However, we recognize that even during this joyous, celebratory time, there will likely be attacks on the museum project . . . and the AiG ministry in general.

AiG’s staff recognizes that in the struggle to counter anti-biblical ideas and actions, we don’t fight “against flesh and blood but against principalities . . . against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). We would not be surprised if spiritual battles ensue, since, over the years, AiG has experienced intense opposition to the Creation Museum.

Over the coming days, whether the attacks come from secular humanists or even from within the church (yes, that happens more than you might think, for we live in an era in which we see Christians attack and even sue other believers [1 Corinthians 6:1-11]), we need God’s people to stand with us in prayer more than ever.

Frankly, as a fast-growing ministry that has been tremendously blessed by God, it would be easy for AiG’s extremely busy staff who are getting ready to open the museum in a few days to lose focus on what is really important: continually seeking God’s direction and will.

AiG, therefore, asks you to join us right now in fervent, faithful prayers (1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 5:16) that God’s Word will not be hindered by attacks from without and within.

Salvation Testimonies at the Museum Already!

We’re so excited to see what God has done—and is doing—through AiG’s proclamation of the creation/gospel message. Are you aware that at least ten contract workers here at the Creation Museum have received Christ after being exposed to the gospel message (and talking to our staff)? Just imagine how God might use the museum and its gospel-proclaiming exhibits when it opens to hundreds of thousands of visitors each year!

As I write in our May Answers Update newsletter, I believe the opening of the museum is not just a significant event in the modern creation movement—and not just a significant event for Kentucky or the U.S.—but a significant event in the history of Christendom. You see, this new, high-profile center will make a very public statement concerning the truth of God’s Word and will challenge the secular humanistic worldview that so permeates Western societies. With your prayerful partnership, we want to continue to make an impact on a culture that needs to hear the truths of God’s Word.

Please pray that any opposition to the AiG ministry and museum—whether it comes from non-Christians or Christians who are not following His Word—will be thwarted. Please pray, specifically, that the God of creation will put up a hedge of protection around the AiG ministry and the Creation Museum—and that AiG remains vigilant, for opposition can sometimes come from the most unlikely of places and in the most unlikely of ways.

If you pray for us this week, please let us know. Thank you for your continuing and overwhelming support.
