In Store: An Ongoing Need
The UK was once predominantly Christian. Today, most of the UK has become extremely pagan; just a remnant of Christianity remains. Even though there are some new churches, the Christian influence is largely gone.
Where the UK is today, America could be soon. Compromise has undermined the Bible, and the impact of this abandonment of biblical authority is breaking like storm-driven waves on the shores of entire denominations. Once-thriving churches are being abandoned and transformed into dance studios, tattoo parlors, and nightclubs.
Why has this happened? It did not occur overnight. Generation after generation, there has been a slow erosion of biblical authority in America. In fact, ever since the early nineteenth century, the idea of a millions- or billions-of-years-old age for the earth/universe was beginning to become popular in the UK and the U.S. Much of the church quickly adopted the old-age view. And they reinterpreted the days of creation and Noah’s Flood in Genesis.
In this illustrated presentation, The Need for Creation Ministry: Understanding the Times, apologist Ken Ham gives helpful insights into the reasons for this decline, which started with attacks on issues like the accuracy of the history in Genesis.
Ken shares how churches and individuals can stand against destructive, evolution-based ideas and successfully rebuild the foundation of biblical authority in our culture.
We would like to visit your facility the first week in October. Are you open and what are your hours? Is there a cost? We are coming from northern Michigan especially to visit you. I have checked your web site but can't seem to find this information.
From your question, we assume you’re looking for information about our world-famous Creation Museum. Hopefully we can help clear up any confusion.
The Answers in Genesis website (the one with the blue color scheme that you’re currently on) focuses on the outreach side of our ministry. On this site, you’ll find answers to common questions about biblical authority, daily articles, online media, and some pretty great free materials throughout. However, you won’t find detailed information about the Creation Museum.
While Answers in Genesis is the parent organization of the Creation Museum (and we’re even located in the same building), the museum has its own website dedicated to providing all the information you asked about and more.
For example, the Creation Museum site can help you plan an entire vacation, featuring not only the museum itself, but also other area attractions. You’ll want to make sure you leave a couple days to take in all that the museum has to offer, though.
In addition, the site presents the latest news updates, an event calendar, a virtual tour, and much more. If you ever want to get to the museum website from the Answers in Genesis site, simply scroll on up to the “navigation super-highway” at the top of almost all of the sites we maintain. From there, you can easily click to the museum website, Kids Answers, Answers magazine, and more. Why not try it out now?
