People usually think about science as what we can learn about the natural world with the scientific method. But there are two kinds of science.
Observational science fits our definition of science very well. It’s done in the present and is directly testable, observable, and repeatable.
But historical science is very different. It deals with the past, so it isn’t directly testable, observable, or repeatable. You can’t practice the scientific method on the past! So your worldview determines how you’ll interpret that evidence.
With creation/evolution, the problem isn’t the evidence—it’s the interpretation of the evidence in relation to the past.
