Is It Really an Expanding Universe?

In the book of Isaiah we read that “God stretches out the heavens like a curtain.” This suggests the universe has expanded since creation.

Now, this verse must’ve seemed strange when it was first written. The universe certainly doesn’t look like it’s expanding. And, in fact, many scientists used to believe the universe doesn’t change.

Now when scientists teach one thing and the Bible another, many Christians are tempted to think maybe God got the details wrong, but he’s never wrong.

Today the evidence strongly suggests the universe is indeed expanding. The Bible was right thousands of years before scientists caught up with it!
