What Is Science?

When people consider science, they usually think of it as making observations about the natural world or maybe seeing technological advances. But did you know that’s only one of the two types of science?

First, there’s “observational science.” Now, the other kind of science tries to figure out what happened in the past. That’s “historical science.”

Unlike observational science, historical science is not directly testable, observable, or repeatable. So, what someone believes about the past becomes the framework used to interpret the observational evidence.
